Usually not. Louisiana is a direct access state, and most insurance plans allow you to come straight to us for physical therapy without a referral. Some plans still require one, so it is worth a quick call to check yours. Occupational therapy is the exception: that does require a doctor's referral.

We work with most insurance companies, and we have self-pay options if you would rather not run it through insurance at all. Call the office at (225) 644-7044 and we will tell you where you stand before you book anything.

Sports injuries, post-surgical recovery, stroke rehabilitation, acute and chronic pain, work-related injuries, neurological conditions such as Parkinson's and MS, and motor vehicle accident or whiplash injuries. On the hand and upper limb side we see trigger finger, De Quervain's tenosynovitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, rheumatoid arthritis, and wrist fractures.

A valid ID, your insurance card if you are using insurance, and a doctor's referral if your plan requires one or if you are coming for occupational therapy.

Therapeutic exercise runs $50 a month for one session a week, $75 a month for two, and $100 a month for three, paid monthly. Manual therapy is $75 for a 30 minute session, or $100 for a first visit that covers a 30 minute evaluation plus 30 minutes of treatment. Packages are 6 sessions for $350, used within three months, or 12 sessions for $700, used within six months.
